Our Story

How We First Met

I had long thought that relationships were about a gradual progression: from knowing a person, to developing friendship, then after getting to know one another before dating and coming together… but our story completely defies this and let’s just say that it simply happened. Sure you’ve heard of  “一见钟情 ” ?- Jas

MarshallOops

FM and I were assigned to the same group “Marshall”, and ’tis was how our little story started. Over the next 3 days, the bunch of us faced challenges and missions, and we worked together to conquer and have fun! For some reason or another in particular, FM and I found ourselves working together several times and we hit off pretty well!

Some memorable moments:
  • The inverse tower obstacle course. FM and I separately volunteered to be the first to try. and in a flash, we scaled to the top, with ease! But alas, we perhaps went up and down too fast… and forgot to take photo of our little conquest! T_T But we made up for it by going up again later! Haha……

Inverted Tripod

  • Raft-building and raft-rowing. Our team was supposed to build a raft from barrels and pipes, and later use the raft to paddle back to our base camp. FM and I ended up working on one corner, lashing the pipes as tight as we could!

The Marshall Raft

Then it was time to row the raft and we ‘choped’ our corner that we tied, so there wun be chance of it falling apart! ^_^

As a source of motivation, we sang the song “Row, row, row your boat” modified to “Row, row, row your raft”. Will never forget the hilarious times when I kept on trying to correct FM’s “boat” to “raft”… HE KEPT FORGETTING!!! (I think he finally got it right after 10 times… =P)

There was something about FM. He was one of the more fun-loving, active and outgoing ones in the group. After the three days, I knew that he was a gd friend to keep. =) but of cos, who would have thought further??

FM:

The first memories I have of Jas was of a highly-eager, outdoor-trained girl who could scale walls and work her lashings better than most of the guys. Her cheerful disposition and extreme enthusiasm was definitely refreshing. :)
